HelloFresh has been accused of using coconut milk obtained from monkey labor. PETA investigators allege animals were chained, whipped, and forced to spend long hours picking fruit in Thailand.1
I want to see those farmers on Shark Tank. What else did they try before they decided enslaving monkeys was looking like the best option? “We had all these bananas nobody was buying. Coconut milk is really popping. We tried shaking a tree and that’s literally the only thing we tried before going to monkeys.”
If there’s a way to run farms with monkeys that’s not horrible, we should try it. They’re natural tree climbers. I just think they should be allowed to quit and they should have a monkey boss who wears sunglasses and a tie.
